Even though the nettle is viewed as a weed, it's a very useful and versatile plant, and it has been used for centuries as a valuable source of vitamins and minerals in soups and teas. It has even been used to make fabric for clothing as far back as the Bronze Age!
Why we include it
Nettle leaf is very high in Chlorophyll and Vitamins A, B, C, D and K, as well as multiple minerals. Ironically, even though the live plant gives a painful sting, when dried it is a great anti-inflammatory and also helps reduce redness and itchiness, and is even helpful in treating eczema. It can also help to treat acne, in particular hormonal acne.
