Green Earth face mask kit - our signature mask kit
We've packed a whole range of natural goodies into our Green Earth face mask kit.
Clay Mask #1 Rhassoul clay ~ Rhassoul Clay has been used for centuries for its amazing skin and hair nurturing properties. It can be used in a skin purifying and remineralising mask, as a deep clean/detox hair treatment, as an anti-cellulite scrub, and in many other ways. It is carefully selected and mined from ancient mineral-rich deposits in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, then packaged for you in the USA. Rhassoul clay is an extremely efficient clay for face masks, while being gentler than Bentonite Clay, which can be hard to mix and also too harsh on dry and sensitive skin - Rhassoul Clay mixes easily to a paste and is also more suitable for a wider range of skin types. Use it whenever you want to get softer, smoother skin, close your pores, deep clean your skin and help clear up break-outs.
Hibiscus flower powder ~ Hibiscus flower contains nearly 30% plant acids and the topical benefit is quite amazing, as this acid is very anti-inflammatory as well as skin toning. Hibiscus extracts are being found more and more often in facial serums and toners.
Hawthorn berry powder ~ said to increase circulation and stimulate new cell growth, this berry powder has long been used in topical applications of hair tonics and conditioners. It also adds a very gentle additional texture to the blend to aid with exfoliation.
Nettle leaf powder ~ nettle leaf is very high in Chlorophyll and Vitamins A, B, C, D and K, as well as multiple minerals. Ironically, even though the live plant gives a painful sting, when dried it is a great anti-inflammatory and also helps reduce redness and itchiness.
Rosehip powder ~ you've probably read about rosehip oil and its use either on its own or in skin moisturizing blends, but rosehip powder also packs a punch. It's extremely high in Vitamin C and has also been shown to be a powerful anti-inflammatory in clinical trials
Pebble Botanicals #1 Hydrosol Blend A delicately scented blend of organic 'floral waters' obtained by steam distilling organic flowers, leaves and fruit. Contains:
Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis) ~ Known as the medicine plant, aloe products are often used to treat burns, infections and to accelerate the body's natural healing process. In addition, aloe is a wonderful skin softener and conditioner.
Calendula (Calendula officinalis) ~ Calendula is another well-known natural skincare hero, and no wonder since it holds a variety of therapeutic benefits. As a facial toner, this flower is said to help stimulate the growth of collagen produced naturally by our body, which diminishes gradually over time and which results in the appearance of wrinkles and lines. Calendula is also anti-bacterial and assists with topical pain management of minor skin abrasions and small cuts as well as blemishes and acne.
Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) ~ Comfrey has been used for thousands of years in natural medicine for its amazing skin healing properties. Scientists have found that this leaf contains high amounts of natural allantoin, which encourages the rapid re-growth of cells.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) ~ Ginger is one of the best detoxifiers known to man and it is gaining popularity in restorative detox teas and herbal lattes. This quality makes this hydrosol water an excellent addition to clay face masks, to further enhance the drawing of toxins from the skin.
Green tea (Camellia sinensis) ~ Many studies have been performed on the use of green tea products in cosmetics. These studies show that green tea is a great anti-inflammatory, and it also contains a high level of polyphenols which are key in the ongoing fight against the signs of aging.
Helichrysum (Helichrysum arenarium) ~ Helichrysum is well known for its skin toning and healing properties, especially for mature and/or very dry skin. Herbalists also use it in pain remedy formulas for bruises, sprains and sore muscles.
Sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) ~ Orange oil is known for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and fungicidal benefits. It also imparts a very subtle yet uplifting scent to the blend.
Papaya leaf (Carica papaya) ~ There is a lot of excitement in the skincare world around the active enzymes in papaya. It has cleansing and antibacterial properties, and also helps to brighten the complexion.
Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus) ~ Red raspberry leaf is another rising star in skincare. It is naturally astringent, which helps tone and tighten the skin. It contains tannins which have been studied for their ability to stimulate skin cell regeneration. This leaf is also packed with flavonoids and elagic acid which are both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds. It is a fabulous addition to any skincare regime, but in particular for mature and aging skin.
Vanilla bean (Vanilla planifolia) ~ Antioxidants like vanilla oil are believed to assist with cell regeneration, and fighting the signs of aging caused by free radicals. Vanilla is naturally antibacterial, which will also assist those with pimply, or acne prone skin. Vanilla is well known for its aromatherapy benefits, calming nerves and helping you to relax.
